Synopsis

Léon, the top hit man in New York, has earned a rep as an effective "cleaner". But when his next-door neighbors are wiped out by a loose-cannon DEA agent, he becomes the unwilling custodian of 12-year-old Mathilda. Before long, Mathilda's thoughts turn to revenge, and she considers following in Léon's footsteps.

Léon: The Professional looks promising for our next movie night. Does it get a conversation going afterwards?

eimearfitzgerald · 19 Oct 2026, 20:08 UTC

Saoirse, same question here. A quick note on the pace would help me make up my mind.

Léon: The Professional is one I am weighing up. The pitches in here are useful. A couple of lines about the tone can tell me more than a score.

Ronan, i have added a boost too. Would be interesting to see how it sits beside the other choices.

For anyone considering Léon: The Professional: Could someone add a spoiler-free note about the opening? That is usually what helps me choose.
