Synopsis

Clarice Starling is a top student at the FBI's training academy. Jack Crawford wants Clarice to interview Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a brilliant psychiatrist who is also a violent psychopath, serving life behind bars for various acts of murder and cannibalism. Crawford believes that Lecter may have insight into a case and that Starling, as an attractive young woman, may be just the bait to draw him out.

The synopsis for The Silence of the Lambs has my attention. Is it best to go in knowing very little?

ciaran.byrne · 25 Oct 2026, 17:08 UTC

Tadhg, i have added a boost too. Would be interesting to see how it sits beside the other choices.

The Silence of the Lambs is one I am weighing up. I would like to see this in the six with a few very different choices around it.

Grainne, i am following this thread for exactly that reason. Happy to hear a few different opinions.

For anyone considering The Silence of the Lambs: This would be a good change of pace from the things currently at the top of my list.
