Synopsis

A ticking-time-bomb insomniac and a slippery soap salesman channel primal male aggression into a shocking new form of therapy. Their concept catches on, with underground "fight clubs" forming in every town, until an eccentric gets in the way and ignites an out-of-control spiral toward oblivion.

Putting Fight Club on the weekend list. How much attention does it need on a first watch?

ciaran_burke · 22 Oct 2026, 03:08 UTC

Eoin, same question here. A quick note on the pace would help me make up my mind.

Fight Club is one I am weighing up. The pitches in here are useful. A couple of lines about the tone can tell me more than a score.

Roisin, i have added a boost too. Would be interesting to see how it sits beside the other choices.

For anyone considering Fight Club: Could someone add a spoiler-free note about the opening? That is usually what helps me choose.
