Hacksaw Ridge is on the shortlist now. Would people recommend subtitles over dubbing when there is a choice?

oisin.mccarthy · 27 Oct 2026, 20:08 UTC

Caoimhe, fair point. There is room for something a bit different in the next six.

Hacksaw Ridge is one I am weighing up. Would love to hear a different take too. The interesting picks are often the ones people split on.

Roisin, a film-club style conversation afterwards could be good, even when people disagree.

For anyone considering Hacksaw Ridge: The description has me curious. I would rather know the mood than the whole plot.
