Arrival is on the shortlist now. Would people recommend subtitles over dubbing when there is a choice?

aislinginwicklow · 13 Oct 2026, 01:08 UTC

Aisling, yes, a spoiler-free discussion would be ideal. I am trying not to look too much up beforehand.

roisin.doyle · 12 Oct 2026, 16:08 UTC

Arrival is one I am weighing up. A little more variety in the shortlist is always welcome. Glad this is in the pool.

eimearfitzgerald · 13 Oct 2026, 06:08 UTC

Roisin, agreed on keeping the pitch short. I want a reason to try it without knowing every turn.

For anyone considering Arrival: The pitches in here are useful. A couple of lines about the tone can tell me more than a score.
